Give funds into your Stewardship account

Add a one-off gift into to your Stewardship account

In order for a donation to be made to a recipient the starting point is to add funds to your Stewardship account – where applicable we can then reclaim the tax on your giving under the Gift Aid scheme.  You can give into your account by Direct Debit, credit card or debit card.

You can then either leave the funds in your account, creating a balance from which donations can be made later or you can ask for a donation to be made at the same time.

1) Select  Make New Gift  from the top menu bar.

2) Select the  Make a gift into your Stewardship account  option.

3) Click  Next.

4) Follow the instructions on the screen.

Please note that minimum gift to Stewardship is £10.

Add a regular gift into to your Stewardship account

Regular gifts can be made into your Stewardship account on a monthly, quarterly, six monthly or annual basis by Direct Debit, where applicable we can then reclaim the tax on your giving under the Gift Aid scheme. These gifts can be used to fund a regular donation or some or all of the gift can be left in your account for later distribution.

You can then either leave the funds in your account, creating a balance from which donations can be made later or you can ask for all or part of your gift to fund a donation to be made at the same time.

1) Select  Make New Gift  from the top menu bar.

2) Select the Regular tab

3) Select the  Make a gift into your Stewardship account  option.

4) Click  Next.

5) Select which bank account you would like your gift to come from

6) Click  Next.

7) You can choose to create a new regular gift into your account or change an existing regular gift.

8) Click Next

9) Follow the instructions on the screen.

Please note that minimum gift to Stewardship is £10.

Choose the date that the funds will be taken from my bank account

When you enter the amount that you want to put into your Stewardship account, if you choose a payment method of Direct Debit, you will also have the opportunity to select the payment date.  This is the date that the funds will leave your bank account.

Reclaim tax on your gift

If you have completed and signed a Gift Aid declaration form we will apply to HMRC for a tax reclaim on your giving.  We make claims every week and it may take 6-8 weeks to be processed by HMRC.

If you have not completed and signed a form you will find that the Gift Aid option on the screen is greyed out.  If you are a UK taxpayer and would like us to reclaim tax on your giving we will need to send you a Gift Aid declaration form.  You can request this by secure message, by email to: [email protected] or by phone on: 020 8502 1100.

If you have signed a Gift Aid declaration and you cease to be a taxpayer or no longer pay enough UK tax to cover the amount we reclaim on your giving, it is important that you notify us of this immediately.
