Our supporters may want to give to specific projects such as a campaign or building fund. Can they do this?
Yes, churches and charities can set up projects. These will be visible to givers when searching or making gifts online. Upon receiving their requests, we can allocate gifts to recipient projects. Find out more on ‘setting up a project’.
Can payments be made to separate bank accounts for specific projects?
Yes they can. Find out more in the section on 'setting up a project’.
Can we request grant payments during the month, rather than waiting till the scheduled payment date?
Yes. You have the facility to withdraw all approved funds currently in your account. They will be transferred to your bank account and you will receive them within five working days. See ‘how to withdraw funds'.
Can I withdraw a part of the approved funds that are in my account?
Unfortunately not. You can withdraw the full amount or wait until your next payment date.
I want to email friends with a link to support me. Can you provide this?
Not at the present time but we will provide this towards the end of the year when existing givers are using the online service and new supporters can sign up online.
What is the difference between an ‘allocated gift’ and a ‘grant’?
We allocate individual gifts into your recipient account. We then make a payment into your bank account and this is a grant.
Do you have a 'donate now' button that we can put on our website to handle donations?
Yes, and this is currently being tested with a small number of recipients. Initially, the facility will accept one off gifts using credit and debit cards. Contact us if you would like to know more.
Can the vouchers that we receive be processed online?
No. Vouchers will still have to be posted to us.
Can all my allocated gifts be bundled together into one payment?
Yes. You can choose to receive weekly or monthly grant payments. See 'changing the grant frequency’.
Are givers able to use the online service?
The very first of our givers are now accessing their accounts online, up to 34,000 more givers will be invited to use their giving account online between now and the autumn.
Will I be notified when new gifts are allocated to my account?
We issue a regular email with a link to your activity report detailing allocated gifts and supporters.
What is a secure message?
A secure message enables you to communicate with us in a way that is safer than sending information via email or over the phone.
Because you are already logged in to our secure system, we know that the request is genuine and the messages cannot be viewed by anyone other than our team. Send us a secure message instead of an email when your message is brief or sensitive i.e. bank details or addresses. Just click on ‘send a secure message’ in the Help and Support box.
Can I download and print my personalised forms for supporters?
Not yet, but we hope to make this available in the future.
Can I add a new bank account online?
No. This is one of the security measures we take to protect both recipients and ourselves. You will need to send us a letter confirming your new bank details. You should also enclose an original, pre-printed item of bank stationery showing your new bank details, such as a paying-in slip.
